RE: Stable Build?
Ok after working with ShiryuX over msn.

He found a code that's provoking the crash, he said the code seems fine, but is causing the crash.
After he started testing the exact same thing i was doing, with the same windows7 64bit os.. he started getting the same crashes.

He has his client and server setup to the latest patches, and is still getting it.
Where as im using the flat ML install with no patches.

I can only assume he has done everything to create a stable server via all the settings, but is still managing to replicate the crash.

Looks like windows7 64bit os.. doesn't like sphereserver.

RE: Stable Build?
Anyone else using Windows7 64bit and running a stable sphere server?

My mate also couldn't get his server to run on windows7 64bit for more than 5mins without crashing.

Then you can proceed to report it as a bug. Thanks for the info, I'm going to try this by myself in another computer too

RE: Stable Build?
Ok, will do.

Went over another mates place last night, loaded everything up on his windows7 64bit..
and same thing..

so that's 4 people tested the sphereserver on a windows7 64bit os, with no success.

Is everyone using windows xp? lol

I remember back when vista came out, people were urged to use windowsXP because sphere didn't like vista and would randomly crash.
seems like it was never fixed.

For the future of sphereserver i would like to see this fixed, because windowsXP will eventually die.. and if sphere cannot operate well on another OS.. then it may perish with it.

also there is no bug forum..

RE: Stable Build?
I run sphere on Windows 64bit Ultimate. Works perfectly. I'll give the latest "stable" build a go but i am running the latest SVN.

RE: Stable Build?
sphere - http://nightly.prerelease.sphere.torfo.o...ewin32.zip
scripts - http://nightly.prerelease.sphere.torfo.o...pts.tar.gz

then install. Try to run with just the base scripts and don't add anything. See if it crashes.

as for the client I just use a base mondains legacy install with a copied over client 2.0.3
