RE: What is SphereServX?
That's what used to be known as source2.
It is now being auto compiled like the main source but this one offers 32 and 64 bit, and also a debug version of each.

Which of them are you most advanced?
Or are they focused on different points of view?

That I can't really say since I haven't really followed their improvements. Some say spherex is more stable and perform better...

RE: What is SphereServX?
a long time ago ppl decided to create this experimental fork to implement 64bit support on sphere and then move all changes back to main source to delete the experimental branch, but it got too many changes making it almost impossible to merge it back on main branch, so ppl decided to keep using it as "another sphere" with different development and different changelog

so the experimental branch is an modded source code (focused on test/beta/experimental changes) and the main branch is the same sphere as always (focused on long term stability)

RE: What is SphereServX?
If the ppl experiment is positive over 64bit, will it be released as the main branch?

Errors triggers success.

RE: What is SphereServX?
the source is always open for new changes

but the main reason for these experimental changes don't get merged back on the main source is because it got too many things changed, making it too difficult to merge it back on main source, so I don't know if these changes will be merged someday

honestly I think 64bit is not really a "must have" feature. Although everyone always think that 64bit > 32bit, on the real usage this doesn't really bring any performance boost, it will only allow the .exe use more than 4gb of ram, which is a really rare situation on sphere (my last server had worldsave files with 1.2 million items, 10.000 npcs, 10.000 accounts, and sphere still using "only" 800mb ram even with all this stuff loaded)
