exactly, plus it will encourage people to update Smile something like .resetallpokergames, easy to type in and then udpate as needed. could be used too if by any chance the server melts down and games become corrupted.

RE: Texas Hold'em Poker
I updated the zip file... the changes are again significant so you need to stop all running poker games, delete all existing i_cards_poker items, replace all the changed scp files, then resync. In theory, this time if you delete a game-in-progress, the players will get their bet and chips back and the pot will be split by all players in the game with cards in hand.

Bug.

When you the all-in against a lower value. You lose everything.

RE: Texas Hold'em Poker
Yes and no... I tried twice to fix the all-in situation, but I abandoned both approaches as overly complicated. The problem is directly related to the problem of dynamically calculating and storing the side-pot(s) that may result from an all-in - in combination with the and subsequent call/raise/all-in decisions that other players will invariably make...

I think the solution to this problem requires a lot more time than I have to dedicate at the moment. It is because I couln't satisfactorily solve that problem that this post is in the script requests section and not the script submissions. We as a community need to fix this badboy up and agree it is good enough and then we can move it over.

RE: Texas Hold'em Poker
Dealing with the all-in split pots is a nightmare.. probably the hardest bit of logic to do in a poker game... would love to use the script if you can get it calculating right... or maybe just have a 'non-realistic' fallback, such that you can't bet more than the lowest chips a player has.. some games do this.

So, if player A has only 10 chips left, and player B has 50, but chose's 'all-in' it will simply bet 10 chips. That way you won't ever have to split pots.. it takes the risk/profit out of the all-in, but makes the game more playable... It is UO afterall... not PokerStars
