SShare vs Script Submissions
Been wondering about this, thought originally that script submissions opened SShare, but recently there have been scripts posted there that appear as forum posts.

So, where is best to put scripts? SShare? or on the forum?
If it's on the forum, should there not be, as there was on sphereserver.net, categories for the scripts so that it does not turn into one big jumbled mess, and then what becomes of SShare?
I've been throwing my stuff up there since I came over to this site.

I never enter in SShare...
I'm always here, so, if you post here in submissions, its easier to know about them.

STEPS BEFORE CREATE A THREAD
- Check the revisions log;
- Use the search button and use the keywords of your problem;
- Check the WIKI;
- Create a thread.

RE: SShare vs Script Submissions
This is what you guys should do:
If you want to post scripts for others to learn and comment back to find possible bugs or get help with the code, then post it in the script submission. If the script is stable and it's fully working then use SShare.

My advice is the next one, post it to the script submission forum and also append to the post the link to download the script from Sshare, so you can use both of them with no problem.

RE: SShare vs Script Submissions
My only thing is... if the script submission board gets active stuff is gonna get lost.
Hence my saying it should be split into categories as the old forums where and as SShare is

RE: SShare vs Script Submissions
I think thats a good idea, create some sub boards inside the script submissions.

RE: SShare vs Script Submissions
If we get enough threads to split them then we do it. But there is no point for that at this moment.

RE: SShare vs Script Submissions
I probably submitted 100's of posts in the old forum... then it got nuked. In this forum, there are a bunch, mostly in response to someone asking for help. For example:

http://forum.spherecommunity.net/showthr...40#pid5140
http://forum.spherecommunity.net/showthr...p?tid=1465

The other place I've submitted a crapload of stuff is the SCP (under the name kevin.lusty):

http://code.google.com/p/sphere-communit...ource/list

To be honest, my preference is to not post anything in a forum... people let forum's die and its disappointing. With an actual code repository, in the event of a disaster I could recreate everything somewhere else using my local svn copy if some fool blew it up :-p
