probably you're talking about sphere 56c?

56d nightly is better than 56c, the "pre-release" / "nightly" on name is just to show that one build is a milestone (development had ended) and the other is the current build in development. This doesn't means that one build is stable and the other not. Both works fine but the latest build will always have more features, improvements, bugfixes, etc

so maybe it's better keep your server on 56d and just fix the tooltip problem (which probably is something wrong on your scripts). To move from 56c to 56d you just need to replace SphereSvr.exe, sphere.ini, sphereCrypt.ini, sphere_defs.scp, sphere_msgs.scp, sphere_name.scp and spheretables.scp
