XRay, let me see if i understood your problem:

1) Put name in certain parts of the map:
You can do that changing the areas frm "maps/sphere_mapX.scp" (X = the map number), IE:

2) Create new map areas, such as dungeons:
You can do map modding using a program called CentrED (many information can be found in google and here in the community)

3) This "freezing" problem.. i really dind't understand what do you mean... can you explain again?
