RE: Sphere Community Pack 2.0 - Mordaunt - 07-09-2012 04:23 AM I know that coruja made a house system that is (I believe) meant to replicate the AoS house system. I have a copy of it kicking around, though I've never used it as I have my own. RE: Sphere Community Pack 2.0 - Anarch Cassius - 07-09-2012 05:18 AM I love that system, particular with the static add-on. I'm not sure how EA-like it is though but I think the differences are mostly superficial in the menu at least. RE: Sphere Community Pack 2.0 - mrkarlo - 07-11-2012 02:27 AM Yes. Take me as a tester please! RE: Sphere Community Pack 2.0 - Lazarus - 07-11-2012 03:08 AM Can you add the scripts library in the same [style, form, places] of the original sphere script pack? Because I have download community pack and the scripts are in so different folders and one wants just take something to test and you can't quicly. Like if you want put your original saves without new items... you can't too... Sry for the english just a idea ^_^ RE: Sphere Community Pack 2.0 - RanXerox - 07-11-2012 04:33 AM I personally think that all backward compatibility (including defnames) to the original script pack should be tossed out... In the case of defnames, it just adds potential for name space collision. I really wish the sphereserver would print warnings whenever a namespace collision was detected. RE: Sphere Community Pack 2.0 - Valios - 07-11-2012 05:35 AM I agree with Ran. Major improvements lead to big changes, you guys will have to get used to it. I will take the responsability for all the documentation and also video tutorials if needed, so don't worry. RE: Sphere Community Pack 2.0 - Khaos - 07-18-2012 01:41 AM Community, I am not going to read three pages of this. It's going to be a bunch of back and forth or ideas and no one acting on them, as always. I agree SCP needs a complete overhaul. As I said many times... when there was no order to what was going on; I just stopped working on it. I am OCD about organization and SCP's organization drives me insane. Ben and I go back and forth over just axis cat's... I am that OCD... ![]() The original combat, spell, skill system that Pyro and I began was for Aos/UO:R/UO:LBR. Some how everyone didn't focus on the latter two and only focused on the former... which I thought was a huge mistake. The customization Pyro and I made for UO:R/LBR could have saved everyone from making the 51a server clones. It was all there combat and spell wise. I wouldn't even know when in my backup drive to even yank the combat files for those... sorry. We do need something more stable... but who all is going to work on it? I mean really Valios or Myself should be project managing it. I can only contribute when I have time. I can keep track of updates and assign workloads though easily ![]() Ideally, a server for UO:R/LBR code should be up. One for AoS as well. Valios wants me to work on this, but honestly... sorry guys.. I'd rather work on my own server. Last time I tried building a community server; everyone but heads that were veteran scripters or dev's on how the server should be.. and it was MY project. Which didn't make sense. It turned into fighting and I just dropped the whole idea. So realistically, there should have been a server doing all of this several years ago. We get along on here with ideas and talking; scripting a server together with everyone and their own ideas doesn't seem to work well with us. If that crushes dreams... sorry. I know I can produce super quality and you all do too. I won't go through the fighting again. It caused a few rifts that still aren't fixed with certain members (Pyro and I don't even speak anymore from it all). Again, this should be done. I just won't have any role besides project management... and some script contributions. Regards, Khaos PS When you all can get a group together for this and are serious. Let me know. Till then, don't bug me with the back and forth of what people want to do but won't do. I have heard this song and dance about servers for 10 years in this community. If people just got their heads togethers and worked with each other... one server at a time... we'd have probably about 10 - 20 perfectly custom servers or EA clones... RE: Sphere Community Pack 2.0 - Extreme - 07-18-2012 03:16 AM Absolutely agreed, Khaos. Happy birthday =D I just waiting whats going on, now I am making the Imbuing system for the SCP. I would like to the CommunityPlay become real :/ RE: Sphere Community Pack 2.0 - Valios - 07-18-2012 03:29 AM Well I'm still working on all the procedure with the project management khaos. The answer has been quite positive from everyone. You can take the role you want, in fact I need some help preparing the scenario. RE: Sphere Community Pack 2.0 - Khaos - 07-18-2012 04:00 AM People are giving positive feedback. I want to see action and coherent action. Not we work on it for a week or two and everyone disappears or isn't contributing in some way... PS. Thanks Extreme. |
