Your server hardware
Hey Guys, I was just fixing up my desktop, and im building a microATX UO / web server while im at it. i was just wondering what hardware/OS you guys are using .

it's going to be on the cheapo side, but should be sufficient for what i want to use it for.

Ingrediants:
dual core 2.5ghz AMD, biostar cheapo micro mobo that will fit the chasis, 4gb ddr3 1066 mhz ram, 500gb 7200 rpm sata 3.0 WD HDD, a slim micro atx case that aparently is renowned for having sharp edges and will slice your fingers up, couple tbsp of my own blood.

What am I working on?

RE: Your server hardware
Intel i7 Quad Core, 8 GB DDR2 RAM, 1 TB storage SATA HDD and a SSD 120gb for OS, Visual Studio, and Sphere Server Testing, 500w Power supply being upgraded to an 850. Also going to be upgrading my Ram to 16GB. Tongue That desktop isn't used for anything but script testing and development and listening to my music. I do everything else from my laptop which has an i3 quad core, 8gb ddr2, 500gb HDD.

RE: Your server hardware
well i just got my pc up. im using a i5 quad 3.10 ghz, 4gb ddr3 1600mhz, nvidia 8600 gts 512mb, WD 1 tb sata hdd i could update the video card and ram, and get a ssd. but i don't got much extra money to spend being the holidays. i got my micro slim atx shit on the way for the server.

i had thoughts of playing around with a rasberry pi for the server lol... then i also thought of making a super computer with like 30 rasberry pis... now the train has just gone way off the rails and i don't know anymore lol

neeways.. im officially back now that my pc is up again. fucking insubordinate pc better not mess round with me again!

What am I working on?
