Running Sphere on MySQL
Hey ^^
is there anybody would enlighten me?
I'm trying to create a MySQL Server on a friend's computer so I can still access the
files from home while he runs the server, that's what MySql is for isn't it?
Kinda lost here o.o

RE: Running Sphere on MySQL
Yeah, thats right!

You just need to do a few things:
1) If the network where mysql is running have a router you will need configure the port forward on the router
2) Edit mysqlc configuration file "my.conf" and enable the bind addres for server start listen the port.
3) Create/or edit an user and set the right privileges to the user be able to remote access the server.

Its kinda easy.... just need some time to configure everything!
OR you can install some pre-builded web-server like: lampp, xampp, wampp, EasyPHP, etc....

See yah

Hey Thanks! But I can't seem to make anything work tonight o.o
I downloaded Mysql server but its really not how I remembered it... isnt there
one which is like an explorer folder where all the desired files are stored?
All I got so far is the Command Line Console and the SQL Workbench..

RE: Running Sphere on MySQL
It seems so... i recommend you to install the server inside a dropbox syncing folder... so you can sync it on your computer too and simply do inside UO the resync typing: .serv.resync

Just share the account and you both have access to the folder!
