Actually, this is the first time. How about this? You have a fucking issue, ask someone else. Hence me posting this in my section so I can berate your ungrateful ass if you spoke out harshly. Even as a dev I have no obligation to help you understand the code much less how to code. You asked. You got the detailed answer. You also got the detailed issues and the fix. Now quit being naive. FIX YOUR SHIT OR PEOPLE WONT PLAY YOUR SERVER

You cant grasp the simple point of 1, 10, 20 people RUINING the fun for others. I guess that is what separates the vets from the normal scripters. Not to bash anyone learning. If you aren't willing to learn then you need to stop scripting. It is a learning environment as is learning to make your code unexploitable.

As for your POV. You didn't even know how to script it. Hence asking me. Oh... thats right I keep forgetting... you own your server. You have to be right. I assume your the next Spike of Sphere...

Spike (No longer with the community for several years) : "[itemdef dragon_shroud], [chardef dragon_shroud]; why won't my code work for either?"

Me: "Because they use the same declaration"

Spile "I don't believe you. You are wrong"

Me: "Okay. Ask on the forums"

Spike then asks on forums and gets told the same thing a bit more harshly by Naz. Funny. He then came running back to me and asked for my help again. He got my sincerest reply of "Fuck yourself".

We all make mistakes. Hell, I've admited to a ton on the other forums when I started. I also didn't doubt what a veteran or dev told me. I never once thought twice to question someone active who implemented several huge systems and understood the code and the PROCESS OF SCRIPTING/PROGRAMMING.

Which is what my explaination came down. The process of scripting. How to do it. Each step. What issues will be had. How to fix them.
