Dynamic patcher for muls?
I don't know where to post this....
so if i mistaken the section pls move this 3d in another place (not the dump pls Tongue)

This is kind of request, coz my skills and knowledge as programmer are not good enough to do this.
But basically, i suppose the work is easy and will be VERY useful for every sphere (or whatever emu) admin.

The program that i'd like to have is a patcher for muls. And should work like this:

1) Starts when u start the client
2) It connects to the server (our sphereserver, or other) and check if there are newer version of art.ix, art.mul, gump.idx, gump.mul, tiledata.mul, staidx.mul, statics0.mul, animdata.mul, etc
3) If yes, it download the missing part, otherwise keep going with the normal client.


So if i want to make a good art, gump or whatever file, i don't have to create a full art.mul provided with any sort of graphic, but i can create it time to time while the server is still running, so i don't have to force the players to download the art/gump/etc files every single time i make an update.

Do exists an easy program that doesn what i have described above? ^^'
If not, is some1 planning to do that?

Varan created an auto-updater a long time ago, you can find it at the download section. Or... you can wait till I finish the one I'm developing Smile

Yep, but first I have to release new updates for vscp, vcrypter and a little tweak for the serverlauncher. Then my other tools to release are vconfig, vgamelauncher (the one you're asking for) and another one I'm not revealing yet because it's not very clear.

Cannot give you a rough date. But lets say "one week or two". Lately I've been working fast due to the low activity in my job and a high activity in girlfriend's job haha, I have more free time to spend on these projects. Once this little vacation's ends my development can decrease again. So I'm trying to get everything done before that happens Tongue

You were right after all, It's been almost a year since I said that.
I'm trying to reincorporate myself on here. I have a lot of work to do for sphere thanks to my big mouth... but hey, everyone in here knows that I'm slow finishing things but not a person who can break a promise that easily so you can be sure that you'll get the tool soon or later.

Actually, I use the TDV Patchmaker, present in the download section, and it run like a charm Smile
But it's difficult to find informations about it at this time, the developpement is stoped.
