Back after many years and need some help.
Howdy All,
I used to run a sphereserver many years ago and I left shortly after 55i came out. It seems there have been a lot of changes and of course I have forgotten a ton. I'm interested in diving back into things but I can't even seem to get my server up and running. I downloaded the most recent build from what I can tell. I get these errors when trying to run the exe.

Expansion maps supported:
FATAL:The sphere.INI file is corrupt or missing
FATAL:MUL File 'multi.mul' not found...
FATAL:Server terminated by error -3!

I'm sure it's something simple and I would appreciate help getting it going so I can start digging back into scripting and testing.

Thanks

RE: Back after many years and need some help.
I think you have to write down the full path of your ultima online installation in the sphere.ini
PHP Code:
// Where your UO installation is located. This need: map0.mul, statics0.mul,
//  staidx0.mul, multi.mul, multi.idx, hues.mul, tiledata.mul.
// Optional files: verdata.mul, mapX.mul/staticsX.mul/staidxX.mul for higher
//  maps support (Malas, etc).
//
// Note that if not set, sphere will scan windows registry to auto-detect it
MulFiles=c:\ultima online

New Ultima Online versions (after mondain legacy i think)aren't properly detected

That fixed my issue Smile I figured it was something simple but I really don't remember much after so many years. Hopefully I can relearn my way around the scripts next Smile

Oh yeah, I forgot to say thank you Smile So are these forums still pretty active? Back when I quit the forums were exploding. I went by Kronos back in those days. I released a lot of scripts, doubt any of them are still around. Wish I still had the level system I made back then... I noticed settings in the .ini for a level system so I assume one has been added into distro?

What is the line I have to add to my account file to make myself admin? I thought it used to be something like PLEVEL=7 etc. Am I wrong or is it different now?
