RE: Any progress about open source?
After reading all the posts and carefully thinking about it, I agree with the NO.
Even if I really do like to peek at the source, i know that i wont have time to do real improvements at the code.. so it's more fine to me to leave a good team to work, as they are already doing in all these months/years.

RE: Any progress about open source?
Change my vote to a No please.

Open source will make it thrive, but the downsides vastly outweigh the positive side of 'more people can help'. To be honest the current dev team are already doing almost daily updates, and the fact loads of fake accounts got set up to vote Yes suggests theyre just eager to get the source for their own benefit, rather than for Sphere's.

So please change my vote, I wouldn't have time to help and it seems 50% of those here just want to get at the source.

BTW: I'm being neutral too, won't vote here.

It is sad. People like me that want access to the code with the better intentions get this response from the community because the fake accounts... :-( really sad :-(

I don't know if you cleared the fake accounts, but i just counted one new account and mine account i was registered before i couldn't login may be because of auto cleaner (long time without login). You can close new membership until the poll ends.

RE: Any progress about open source?
Childish response...

I said in my past post that open source was good, but after seeing how the community has acted, I do not believe anyone will help the open source project, and simply use it to find holes in servers. I haven't seen you explain why you want it open source, you clearly have no time to dev else you would have done before, suggesting you just want to find holes or branch it off and not help out the community.

Think you've ruined this yourself to be honest

I think really open source will help sphere, but i think that the people is free to think that this will not. Your posts xantier are not helping us to become sphere opensource... please calm down and try to respect others Confused
