RE: Updating info of item
I don't remember exactly how it works, but I think old sphere builds read the DAM value directly from the itemdef, so changing the DAM value directly on the script will change it on all created weapons, and there's no way to change it individually on just some few weapons already created

But on sphere 56c this got changed and now weapon items have their own DAM value instead inherit the DAM value from the itemdef base, making weapons more customizable since now you can change the DAM value individually on each weapon. So if you change DAM value on itemdef, new weapons created after this will use this new value but weapons already created will stay using the previous value

But anyway if you want update the DAM value on the itemdef and also update all weapons already created, you can use this simple script
Code:
[FUNCTION UpdateWeaponsDam]
// Usage: UpdateWeaponsDam i_weapon_to_be_updated
FORINSTANCES <ARGS>
   DAM=<SERV.ITEMDEF.<ARGS>.DAM>
ENDFOR
