trade window always had worked fine here on 56b, 56c and 56d, so if you're saying that it never had worked, probably it could be something on your custom scripts like an @[Item]DropOn_* trigger preventing the item to being dropped on the other char or inside the trade window container

or if you're using injection with settings to send an fake client version to server, maybe this can also break the trade window code because the trade window packet got changed on TOL clients and it will have some compatibility problems if the server send the TOL trade window to pre-TOL client or pre-TOL trade window to TOL clients
