on classic clients 7.0.55.27+ (or enhanced 4.0.55.27+) OSI added new screen resolutions on options menu and increased the max visual range value from 18 to 24, but these changes only works on these clients

previous clients still using max visual range = 18, because it's an client-side limit that chan't be changed even if you set visual range is 24 on server-side

so to use these new features you must run UOPatch to update your client to the latest version
