RE: Sphereserver upgrade
Scripting wise there are no syntax changes, just more options and functions available to you.

Download the prerelease here: http://prerelease.sphere.torfo.org/

check your sphere.ini settings against the file in the new folder then copy the server and it's files over and it should run.

If you run into problems hop into IRC, there are people there who can help you Xun

RE: Sphereserver upgrade
You will also need to take a look into sphere_defs.scp and update it, since mounts are defined now into this file.

If you are using mapplanes they must be defined in sphere.ini, mapplanes no longer exist and now you must use 'map' instead... you will see that you can specify wich mapx.mul will anyone defined use... its important because any item/character placed in any mapplane that is not set in sphere.ini will be fixed to map0, so you'll have undesired effects.

For every map set in sphere.ini you need to have its [areadef ] created or you won't be able to move inside it and will spamm errors in console.

If you are planning to update only the .exe there's no problem, but if you are gonna update the script pack too... you will have to learn something about [multidef ] since multis (houses and boats) are defined this way now.

Also a full update of any non-custom script is recommended, but it will eat you so much time if you have a full worldsave since so much ids have changed.

For more information you can also join irc and ask there Smile

RE: Sphereserver upgrade
If i update only .exe file i cant ride on mounts and one system isnt working. If i upgrade scriptpack too i dont have some items.

I got custom .info command system (my friend give it to me ) On old sphereserver it works fine but on 56b i cant get info about characters.
