Clients? - Capes - 04-05-2018 10:03 PM I have noticed on this forum different topics regarding clients. Currently I'm using the newest client 7.0.60.47 and 0.56d. What are the advantages of using older clients vs the newest one? Thanks Capes RE: Clients? - darksun84 - 04-05-2018 10:27 PM I think that the main advantage of using older client is that you easily change most the of *.mul files. Newest client advantage is maybe increased screen resolution? RE: Clients? - golfin - 04-06-2018 12:54 AM The latest version of client 7.0.60.47 works with files with a different structure. For example, gump or art files use different versions than they did for older clients. I use 7.0.50, which still works with most UO programs. With this resolution I'm not sure I have not made it yet. Thanks Capes RE: Clients? - golfin - 04-09-2018 03:34 PM It depends on whether you want to edit the files. If not, you do not have to deal with it basically. If so, it is good to monitor the development of various UO file editing programs such as Uo Fidler, uop extract tool and so on. It depends on what you are editing for files. UoFidler works well, but may not be right for new clients. There is a lot to try and experiment. It's an ant job. I did not understand your question, but where the chair is in the older version of the files, it's new. Just some programs with this new version can not help. |
