Login Issues - Andragh'on - 03-09-2017 05:58 PM Greetings, I am trying to login on the server from a different computer (and different location) When i open shpere.ini i suppose to modify the last few lines i thought. name of the server 127.0.0.1 2593 //external //my ip here (using no-ip.com) //2593 When i modify the last 3 lines i get an error and the server wont start. Any of you can aid me what to modify so i can login the server on a different computer and different town? RE: Login Issues - Leonidas - 03-10-2017 01:51 PM You uncommented the bottom part right? Code: name of the server RE: Login Issues - Andragh'on - 03-10-2017 06:34 PM I have now Name of the server 127.0.0.1 2593 External my ip here 2593 When i try to login from my other computer i keep hanging at connecting RE: Login Issues - Coruja - 03-11-2017 12:50 PM you must make sure that you had inserted valid info on these lines eg: "my ip here" is not an IP address, you must use your real external IP (something like 123.123.123.123) or if you prefer, you can let these last 3 lines disabled and use "SERVIP=123.123.123.123" on console or ".SERV.SERVIP 123.123.123.123" command ingame to make sphere accept connections on this external IP. You must use the command again every time you restart the server, or add "SERVIP=123.123.123.123" on f_onserver_start (sphere_serv_triggers.scp) to do this automatically also remember that if your PC is behind an router, you must create port fowarding rules on the router to make it forward all connections on port 2593 to your PC RE: Login Issues - Andragh'on - 03-11-2017 06:19 PM Oef, let me see if i can figer out how to port forward 2593. i am behind a switch and i believe my modum is router in one. This may take a while cause i dont want to mess anything up. Hmmm Might need a little help IRL, tried everything as written above but for some reason my other computer still cant login (or a friend from a different house) When i now try to login i get the message "could not connect to Ultima Online" on every attempt i try. I will keep you guys updated as soon as it works, this should not be a really hard problem i suppose. RE: Login Issues - Leonidas - 03-12-2017 01:57 PM Don't know if it matters but I usually forward the port on my firewall as well when all else fails. |
