If I wanted to run my old Age of Shadows client (I have the CD), can I use the latest version of Sphere or do I have to revert back to and older version?
If an older version, which one?

I'm happy to report that Sphere56c and 56d both work with 2D client 3.0.8S (Age of Shadows CD).

you can use the latest version
