It's a SPHERE shard with 56c. that kicked the ass of every other emulator

...we are UP (openBETA) from almost a week, running the build #1745 (dec 17) and everything run smooth, except for some issue caused by client 7 (like chars that walk on place when equipping light sources, or the impossibility to drop items on some kind of static grounds

That's the only message that shows up, and these crashes freeze the server until someone manually stops Sphere... quite frustrating.
Crashes occur randomly and repeatedly... 3-4 crash in sequence over few minutes, after which nothing for hours (or days). We suspect it's a npc spawn, but until now we could not reproduce the error.
Any tips? :B

Issue with npcs with light sources is related to new packets, it's going to be fixed 'soon'. What you are saying about droping items on some statics seems (with lack of more information) client side, maybe you can give more info. And for this error.. alone it tell us anything, there should be more lines related to it or something you can tell us about how or when is it happening.
And for crashes, since no one reported them it must be script related...I used to had some scripts that crashed sphere too... not a good deal.

well, New Hera is an old italian shard (if not THE oldest), and it has a complete custom gameplay (even Furio worked on it back in times).
We had a very large community, but over the years we lost all our players (I was one of them) because of prolonged periods of down of M4D (the host), lots of bugs, bad staff, etc... so the shard reputation has collapsed.
The shard was dead, so last year I kicked out the entire staff and put together a new team... we (2 scripters and 3 worldbuilders) have spent 8 months on scripts (7+ Mb recoded), new files, new website, new server... et voilà: New Hera Reborn.

The "impossibility to drop items on some kind of static grounds" could be related to static buildings underground.
It's a problem that we found also on our shard.
If there are underground floors is not possible to drop items on the ground(terrain) above.
To solve this problem we have to put static floor tiles under(-1 z) the terrain.
