Tooltip encoding issue with new sphere version - fraenir - 08-25-2013 07:31 PM Hi, we are trying to upgrade our shard to June version of Sphere; until now, we were using either 2009 or 2008 version. We found a problem with encoding of tooltips: On old version of Sphere, all the tooltips were taking the original ANSI-based encoding (which is logged correctly and displayed in old style dialogs correctly): ![]() However, on updated version of Sphere, the tooltips are wrong: ![]() Tooltips informing about blessed item are easy to change, but I can't see any way to change the item name tooltip. The only "scripted" solution I see is scripting all hardcoded tooltips, which would be a bit of pain... I think that this is the same behaviour, as if I set EF_UNICODE on old Sphere to On. Is there any similar flag, that could be used in this case to force Sphere to convert flags from ANSI (in our case cp1250)to UTF? Or is there any setting that will force client to use UTF on other channels as well? Cheers, Fraenir RE: Tooltip encoding issue with new sphere version - Draff - 03-10-2014 07:43 AM Dead thread? Anyone can help?
