latency/packet loss issue - Rattlehead - 07-25-2013 01:45 PM

is it just me, or does the flag in the ini not yet work for the display of the latency and packet loss on the shard selection screen?

i think its just me doing something wrong, not sure tho.

I am not certain, but I think your router needs to permit incoming ICMP packets (most have this disabled by default)

i am on a dedicated server and have the port UDP port 12000 open in the firewall

not sure what ICMP is, but there is no option for it in the firewall

ok, i found out how to enable the ICMP in the firewall, and still get nothing, has anyone else got this to work properly?

Yeah it works for me (using client 7.0.29.2)

RE: latency/packet loss issue - Rattlehead - 08-07-2013 08:46 AM

i am using client 6.0.10.0, cant get it to work, i must be missing something, anything required as far as server triggers?

RE: latency/packet loss issue - RanXerox - 08-07-2013 03:59 PM

No triggers are necessary, just the .ini setting and the ICMP packets cannot be blocked. You also have to turn on the ping in the client before it works... On mine its a blue button named "connection".

RE: latency/packet loss issue - Coruja - 08-10-2013 01:52 AM

here it works but just in parts (already allowed ports, settings, etc)

the ping on login screen never appears on the first try. It only show if I select some shard on shard selection screen and go back to this shard selection screen, or when I got disconnected ingame and return to the login screen for the second time (only on second time without close the client, because if I close it wont show again)

and even when it appears, the ping value is always 0ms

if you are connecting from the same machine the server is on, then it should only show 0 ms

if not then, apparently not working right for u either lol

do u have the ICMP packets allowed in ur firewall coruja?
