How to connect using Enhanced Client - amonvangrell - 06-21-2013 11:26 AM

I know that there are some posts here at the forum about it, but none help me to connect to my shard.

I have just download the enhanced client, changed my host, but it didn't work.

Have anyone get to work with the latest enhanced client? How to do it?

Thanks!

The latest versions of the enhanced client have the server IP/port hard-coded (107.23.85.115), so you can't use a hosts file to redirect it. Instead, you have to either use a router to intercept and re-route the hard-coded IP address to the shard you want to connect to... or you have to find some other way to re-route that hard-coded IP.

I did it by altering the network configuration on my client PC, adding that hardcoded IP address to my local network adapter, and running a program I downloaded called rinetd with a conf file that looks like this (in my example below the sphere shard is running on 192.168.1.100):

0.0.0.0 7775 192.168.1.100 7775

The little time I spent looking at the enhanced client, I launched it with Razor and used that to change the IP

THANX TO RANXEROX!

Just manage to log into my shard. Not a good option to online shards i
think, but still....

What I did was, I change my sphere.ini port to 7775 like master RanXerox said.
Then I download this program called HEX WORKSHOP.

In HEX Workshop I opened a copy of my UOSA.EXE
and I search for the string "107.23.85.115" - gived by master RanXerox again ;]
and I found it on the offset 0X008A1AB0
change it to 127.00.00.001 saved it.

On my sphereCrypt.ini using vcrypt from download section I got the key for the lastest version of the client 4.0.31.00
and I got the key:
0679003100 0B5C260D 0B097BE7F ENC_TFISH // 4.00.31.00
paste it there in spherecrypt.ini

and Voila!

Am logged and playing on the atual enhanced client! ;]

This didn`t work for me.... :..[

I notice something.

In this enhanced client the backpack items are show in two different ways.

GRID VIEW and LIST VIEW
The list view works perfect. But the grid one doesn't show any item in my backpack.
Is this an sphere incompatibility?
