UDK Map Maker?
Xen's making a new tool to make maps (similar to UOTC, UOLandscaper & Dragon), but with some new features like Coast Editor.
Please give it a try and post any bugs that you find so that he can improve the Map-Maker.
I don't know if this is the place to post this, so plz move it if needed.

This map maker works much better than dragon, it doesn't have such problems with coastlines, shores and mountains. Also it have optimization for multi-cores, gui and can be configured for generated map of any size.
"Map Maker" is a part of "Essence UDK(Ultima Developer Kit)" project.

There you can also look throw and get the latest source code, and get link to support forum(s) as they can be changed, if servers will be unvalible (for now craftuo don't work for some weaks).

talk to xen about that situation.
he will add all information about mapmaker soon on other site. i will keep you up to date with that project.
lev, das teil funktioniert wie uotc. bmps von uotc sind komplatibel. du musst lediglich eine 5-8 pixelbreite küstenumrandung zusätzlich einzeichnen und das terrain-bmp auf die farbtabelle indizieren.

Genneraly the main idea is like dragon you draw image and give it to application that makes map and statics from it. All GUI is just for making more easy and nice editing config files. As for now gui is rather rude as Xen focused first of all on application logic and left interface improvement for later. Thow this screen is rather old, Typically it's looks like:

I will ask Xen to publish more screenshots from last versions, so if you are interesting in looking tabs content you can do it soon as soon as new support forum will lunch (as CraftUO is out after Orbsidia was again delete all forums we decided to make own as it's look more stable
