Error 9, any ideas? I have my port set to default so i dont know.

You have a version of sphere still running, it did not properly shut down.
ctrl-alt-delete and look for the process spheresvr.exe and close it

I'm not sure if Mordaunt's reply solved your issue or not, but another possiblity is that you have the incorrect ip/socket listed under sphere.ini. You also need to make sure that you have the proper port forwarding etc.(if you have a router) so the server can access the port it is requesting to bind to.
