NPCS Throwing - Barnabus - 11-04-2012 06:31 AM

When I give the NPC the throwing skill it throws gold coins at me
how do i override the gold coin with another item?

RE: NPCS Throwing - Mordaunt - 11-04-2012 06:37 AM

use EFFECT

RE: NPCS Throwing - Barnabus - 11-04-2012 07:32 AM

Hi Thanks Mord
Thats kind of alright even though my potion bottle im trying to make the NPC throw
looks like a shoe when its thrown as an effect lol.

Even still I end up stood in a pike of gold coins as the npc throws them at me with the throwing skill. I guess you were meaning do not use the throwing skill ?

With TAG.OVERRIDE.ROCK set with the item ID i get :
21:40:ERROR:CreateBase invalid item 09c0169dd

Yeah I was referring to using the effect in place of the skill

This has to be fixable without using a work around....

So far this is working ..

PHP Code:
ON=@NPCActFight
    REF1
=<SERV.UID.<UID>>       // The one thats throwing the pot

REF2=<SERV.UID.<SRC.UID>> // The Target

REF1.TAG.OVERRIDE.ROCK=i_boulder

IF <ARGN1> > 3
        SERV
.LOG @NPCActFight <REF1.NAMEThrows something at <REF2.NAME>
    ENDIF

ON=@NPCActFollow
    REF1
=<SERV.UID.<UID>>       // The one thats throwing the pot

REF2=<SERV.UID.<SRC.UID>> // The Target

IF <ARGN1> > 3
        ARGN2
=6
        ARGN3
=1
        SERV
.LOG @NPCActFollow is <REF1.NAMEis <ARGN1tiles away from <REF2.NAME>
        RETURN
0

ELSE
        RETURN
1

ENDIF

but the trouble is gold coins still fall at the targets feet even though hes throwing boluders.

Ideally I want the boulders to fall at targets feet, ultimately i want my npcs to throw xpots that fall at a players feet after hitting, then 2 secs bang...

Can anyone help with this - ?
