Patches - Mordaunt - 08-20-2012 02:50 AM

So... annoying problem time.

I reinstalled UO the other day to rule out corrupt files with the axis issue I was having, and now...
I cannot patch the game.

No files have been modified, my firewall is allowing the game through but I get the following error:

Error reading okay message from socket
Wrong protocol version
Could not connect to a patch server

Was talking with Skul about it, yesterday, he suggested deleting my patch/ folder which I did to no avail.
Anyone else had this issue?
I'm stuck at client 6.0.1.10 (patch 72)

Run the client.exe in adminstrator mode.
Close it, open again the uopatch.exe in adminstrator mode.
It can help you.

Thats very strange, whats version are you trying to patching? The installer version...
I swear that I saw something that need do when patching over 6.0.1.10.
Try run the UO.exe! I think is this.

Could not connect to a patch server
Make sure you have an active connection to the Internet via an ISP or a direct connection.
Your client may not be the most recent version.

Can you ping that IP ?

RE: Patches - Mordaunt - 08-20-2012 01:59 PM

According to Support.uo.com Kyrbis your problem can be fixed by editing the verinfo file in your UO folder and making the IP address read

159.153.197.91 8888

No solution for my problem yet though Sad
