0.51a source I believe no longer exists, which is why there was a project started some time ago to try and rebuild it (no idea what happened to that project)

Time ago a guy released the 0.51a source and I should have somewhere.
I can't tell you if the package is the original 0.51a version or not...

x77x can you say for sure that this source is from 53? Did you try to build that files? I get 2040 errors ... maybe you get luck with a very old compiler but that won't make this source legit, it may have been tweaked by some people over the years, feel free to trust unknown sources.

RE: Open Source! - x77x - 10-14-2015 01:00 AM

i have no idea, thats just what i was told by fallout it was...
( the guy that tried to recover/remake the 51a source)
he also mentioned it wasnt complete

the story from what i recall...
i asked menace and damian in the last 5 years if they still had it, they both said no, it was lost years ago...
it sounded like the truth

but i though the 51a source was stolen once upon a time, by one of the devs

(back in the day they had to keep it closed because ea was on their ass)

so if we can re-trace the story, and find out who the mysterious thief was... thatd be the only hope

the ONLY reason people want the 51a source is for the smooth simple combat

Hey,

Congrats everyone. Now that university is done for me I have some free time.
I'll try to spend it as a player (I have to admit that I sucked as a dev sometimes).
Take your time to understand the source, it can be very tricky.

Cheers,
Julian.

Where to publish?
Why not say it

let me translate...

"find it, and post it!"

Please can you post source codes of some 0.99 or 1.0 verison? I will try my scripts from 99za

Thank you

RE: Open Source! - XuN - 10-17-2015 09:20 PM

Just to make it clear again.

We do NOT have sources for TUS 0.48, SphereSvr 51a, 55i, 0.99, 1.0 or any other versions different than 55r402, 55r403 (which you can find in the '/archived' folder in GIT repo), 0.57.1 (which has it's own branch) and the ones you can build from GIT repo (older is dated from 09/01/2007).

There's no way we can provide sources we don't have, I don't want to be rude but I hope it's clear enough now that we won't provide them regardless of how much times it's being asked.
