Im currently trying to advertise the shit outa my server. i notice on days where i post all over facebook, youtube, and forums i'll get atleast 4-6 bites. if you have a substantial amount of players already on you will retain that 4-6 players you get mostly from that days work. It seems to be all about getting lots of players at one moment, then keeping that batch, then getting another batch. players don't seem to trickle in and stay if they are the only players.
i spend a couple hours a night running around with adverts and working towards getting players. seems to be a time consuming job at first, but word of mouth will do the work later.
