I noted yesterday that I am somewhat back. Well, that was improper. I have talked to Ben, Mordaunt, RanXerox, and a little to Valios on Facebook last night and the result is I am back.
Now to note; please don't spam me and the others about implementing 100 things right away. We are going to focus on some bug fixes first and removing some redundancies I noticed. I am not promising anything on smooth sailing, but I am going to play with the packets and see what I can do with it; as well as the new walk packets. A lot of things were expressed to me that needed work... I just need to focus on it all with support from the other developers. I have been away from Sphere's internal code for over a year... *sigh*. I am going to try and implement what I can from High Seas and Stygian Abyss.
I have a business I am trying to rebuild and I manage three pages on Facebook. "It is only Facebook"; yep, it is. I also manage affiliated advertising through these pages and try to bring in additional income with them. So they do get about 2 - 3 hours of my attention or a little more a day for pre-pended posts and some community involvement from me. Add in managing twitter with linked advertisements (again all pre-pended with tweet deck), this eats up another 30 - 60 minutes easy.
When I have web development work come in; that eats some of my time too. Those web developers and designers in the community can understand where I am going with that >_<.
As for script releases from me... I might release code here and there. I am really trying to get some packs together to implement for a donation page and see if I can generate some income from them. This might seem a bit harsh knowing Pyromapes and I worked on the combat system and released something like that for free; but Sphere isn't paying my bills. Which if it did I could have developed here full-time and had most of this stuff finished. I will take script requests and let you know if they are viable with my time.
Many people know real life got in my way from devoting time on here when it came to some personal life crisis's and financial obligations. The latter I am still working out. Yet, unlike the others I am not here to turn in my resignation.
Also to note; don't freak out if I am missing for two weeks at a time. I am juggling an over seas relationship with my girl friend from Australia. She comes into the country every 6 weeks or so. The end game is for her to move here or for myself to move there. The latter seems more ideal at the moment financially since they are in a better stage economically than this country.
So with all of this in mind; I am back.

And... welcome back, again. hahahahaha
We know you will always be there for Sphere, even just to talk.
So you have girlfriend from Australia... thats cool, but how both of you manage the relationship? 6 weeks can be an eternity..
Happy to see you coming back to help Sphere again and again.
I think you should forget the smooth sailing thing, I doubt that the guys uses the lastests clients to play UO in Sphere.

i really hope things work out for you, RL should always come first, its hard to code anything when u are miserable lol
you wont be getting script requests from me, altho i hope u guys do fix up some older things before u get too deep in newer stuff (as an example, the things that have been implemented with little to no functionality like the pet/current followers function) becus in reality like extreme said, the newer clients are nice an all, but still kinda suck compared to the older ones, so it may be a good idea to get some of the older stuff working properly as the majority of us still use clients 4.0.X - 7.0.x
anyway theres plenty of time for suggestions and such, glad to see u back man, seems alot of the older members are coming from the woodworks these days

Thanks Rattlehead. Most older developers have resigned. There is only 3 - 4 of us left who have not resigned.
If Ben wants me to take it all back over everything will be focused on Bugs and bugs none of you all know about
. LOL. Implementations are on hold. We are on par, in not ahead of RunUO at the moment. So it is time to fix it before adding to it.

i dont remember who was here at forum saying he was going off ''f o r e v e r'', but if you know uo, and sphere, you must know that there is no way to turn you back to it. lol
welcome back master khaos, hope you relationship works out, as i have lived a situation like, and in the end it have workout, i wish you resiliency, lol. i came from brazil to nz because of the same situation of yours.

How about that, I'm from Australia.As far as i know from Runuo they are trying to implement a sphere.ini type file to configure files / help setup servers.
Anyway good luck, may sphere live on.

LOL RunUO... claims they are better than us and then are mocking us. Go figure. lol.
But to you both; yes Australia and New Zealand are about the best places to live right now government and economy considering.
Besides they are both so beautiful. I cannot wait till I move there and get my permanent residency.

Yes, I heard. My girl friend is severely concerned about it all. I just don't think it is as bad as the United States currently. Which is very good. At least your pay rates are 2-3x ours and the cost of living is about the same as ours; if not lower...
