Hey guys, im trying to get my sphereserver to show up correctly on UOGateway. it says offline right now, but its actually online. on their forum i saw a post that describes his poller:

UOG has a poller app which sends a special packet to the UO server to gather data.
The packet sent is shown below:
Your server should be coded to accept this packet and handle it accordingly. (this should be built into RunUO, not sure about other servers)

tcpquery.WriteInt8(0xff);i have these set properly, see that connectUO is pinging my server, but i dont see anything from uogateway. the ip address i provided them is correct also.

can anyone tell me how to work with this? i don't do packets so well, i usually end up breaking shit when i touch packets.

I don't think you should have to mess with packets if the options are turned on, and it seems that they are by default.
When you signed up for UOG did the process complete properly?
I tend not to bother with these things, but i went to take a look and for me it wasn't even recognizing the host ip/port as being valid.

Yeah, it looks to be correct. just double checked it. and the stupid dog of mine must of kicked my ethernet cable out, cause im here at work and the server is down. i leave for 4 hours, and the server goes down. god have mercy.

UOG poller also says my server is down, has done for about 2 weeks since adding it. But sphere does not seem to be seeing the connections from UOG at all. The config on their site is correct.

Yeah, this is frustrating. i have a post on UOGs site requesting help. all the other freeshard sites etc are showing my server with correct stats.

Good luck with a reply.. just like any topsite, they are just left there to reap ad money and there is no support.

I'd like to think that uogateway is going to reply and treat this differently because it used to be the #1 resource in the uo gaming community for free shards. it was the butter for our delicious bread lol. if i hear anything i'll bring it here.

Yeh, I used to use their app all the time, check out servers at the click of a button which downloaded the patches too
