having issues installing this. anyone have any suggestions? do i have to replace the default house menu?

Just put the file into your scripts folder, make sure it is loading and place houses as normal.
There is no "default" house system with sphere

i dropped it in script folder and added the house list conversion also. i added a house ingame and when i doubleclick the sign it does nothing... should i restart server? no ingame functions at all?

serv.load scripts\this_Script_dir_if_any\script_name.scp

or

restart the server

Wait.. are you upgrading from a version of my script OLDER than 2.2?
If not.. you don't need the conversion script, it only converts house tags from an earlier version to lists.

However if the house sign doesn't do anything. It's not loading.. do what Xun said.

ok i had to change the name of the script for some reason for it to register with sphere. i did that in when i restarted in indexed that script. ingame when i add the house it comes up with a sysmessage saying you now own 1 house but it also says your duplicate keys have been banked. and when i clikc the sign out of the house it says you must be standing on your doorstep to acces the house menu and again when i dbclick it it does nothing... the version is the Enhanced Housing v2.3.9 Created by Mordaunt. should i just go with the v2?

and are you standing on your doorstep when you dclick it? because if you are, the house menu comes up.
No.. don't go with an older one, that'd be like running sphere 51a, pointless.

yes i am. im not to sure what is it? i got the download from https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=706af5b00...EB452F!175 and then just added it to the script file like normal. at first it wasnt indexing when i resynced the server, so i changed the name and then it registered. and then everything seemed to work but that. i looked in the script for the sign and the is clienttooltips on the also and on=@click messages that dont appear. im running the vo.56c version of sphere. is it compatible with that?

Yes it is compatible... why would I keep updating a script that wasn't compatible?

It sounds very much to me like user error.
If the script is loaded, it will bring up the menu when you dclick the sign
