I´m wondering why when I cast a spell, only uses half of the MANAUSE put under his spell definition.
If I ser MANAUSE=4, only consumes 2 of mana. If I set MANAUSE=8, only consumes 4 of mana.
Any ideas?
maybe you have a /2 division in the argn2 of @spellselect/@select event in a char/spell, otherwise it can be a bug

I have starting just today my magic system, so I haven´t touched anything about @SPELLSELECT or @SELECT in the spell.
I asked if anybody experienced that before. It´s not very troublesome, because you have only multply for two the MANAUSE at every spells, but it´s strange.
I´m using latest release, 13th of March, 2013.
PD: With a fresh install of Sphere it´s the same, the nightsight spell only consumes 2 of mana instead 4. Maybe it´s a bug.
my mana use it's correct, last nightly build
But with a fresh install?
I swore my Night Sight only uses 2 points of mana...
yep

, did you tried to log the argn2 value in @spellselect
Just now, ARGN2 is always 4.
If you cast de night sight from a spellbook, consumes 4 points of mana.
But if you cast from a scroll, only the half, 2 points of mana.
Is this a normal feature? I didn´t know it.

it's normal, and also the cast time is reduced.
There is a easy form to disable it?
I would like to be the same, casting from spellbooks, or from scrolls. Using the same mana, and same casting time.

i searched for a bit, i didn't find any clues

not in the normal files nor in the sphere.ini. i guess u can always try to modify the typedef of the t_Scroll in order to add a double consume mana, after u retrieve the spell number .)
