telnet and sphere
Hello there,

in the past when I wasn´t admin I resynced the shard via telnet.
To connect to the shard it was very simple.
I used telnet from windows like
.telnet ip from my shard 2593
and it worked.
I wrote down my username (admin) and my password.
Now, when I use this command nothing happening.
There is now info in the sphere console that someone want to connect via telnet and I got no message "username/password please).
so, something I am doing wrong.

Is there anything I have to do in the sphere.ini?

RE: telnet and sphere
When I had to do that, it was using the account REMOTEADMIN, so when you connect, you have to press SPACE, then enter REMOTEADMIN password.

Try that folks Smile

RE: telnet and sphere
before pressing space you don´t see that you have connected to the server ( I am at work so I can´t test it).

Yeah, in the old times it was made like that, you werent seeing nothing, thats why you had to press space.

I don't know if it was designed like that, or if it was buggy, but that's how it worked before.

give plevel 6 remoteadmin or administrator account.
Start*Run telnet 192.192.1.1 2593 (your ip and port)
if you are connected enter the space.
enter the remoteadmin or administrator account password.

RE: telnet and sphere
very funny.
I made two accounts
admin and administration.
when I want to log in with the username admin my console said "wrong password for username administration" and I can´t login with the username admin.
that´s very bad because I need 2 telnet accounts.
once for my gms and ones for my online player character creation.
the problem is when the gm is logged in with administration and a player want to create his character via homepage and the account admin via php script the console said "wrong password for username administration"

Maybe a bug with sphere
