Sad linux problems on a live shard
hello!

i'm using the pre-release on an ubuntu 12.04 lts, i had some problems with server crashing with no proper errors (mostly segmentation faults) some months ago and checked bug tracker and saw that because of many people using windows and reporters not following up, i couldn't find proper answers.

i also had this problem of having a slight delay with some actions, one of them is spells, there's a hardly noticable delay with spellcasts when i'm using the linux version, but during a fast-paced pvp, players tend to complain about it a lot.

then i tried using the windows executable with wine, it used more cpu than the linux version, but that was between acceptable ranges (15-20% compared to 3-5% linux version used) and it was pretty stable so i carried on using it for some months. and the slight delay with the spells were absolutely gone and it was snappy.

until one day something happened with the windows version. i don't know the exact reason of it, did i upgrade to a newer nightly or it happened with the system updates i'm not sure. timers started to not decrease, resulting in an unplayable shard. maybe some of the devs can have an explanation and maybe a solution for this? so i can continue using the windows version which i believe is more stable and an answer to my spell-delay problem.

before you ask, i'm using the default network settings that you suggest in my ini, and not using any experimental unstable stuff.

i hope someone can help me with these Smile

thanks in advance and keep up the good work! Love
