libmysqlclient and linux
Hi there,

I have updated my sphere, as you can read in my last post Big Grin

... now I got a message from sphere, that my libmysql is outdated and I may have to update.

OK so I changed my docker image to ubuntu:latest and recreate the sphere image and installed libmysqlclient20.

Now sphere grumbles that I have to use libmysqlclient20... *sigh*

Maybe someone has a solution for this Wink

I will go back to ubuntu:trusty - with the old libmysqlclient18 Wink

Thanks in advance Smile

RE: libmysqlclient and linux
mysql clients are designed to work better with their respective mysql server version, so you doesn't really need to install the latest available version, but the latest "recommended" version

I don't use linux so I can't confirm it, but sphere nightly compiler uses libmysqlclient18:i386 running on ubuntu 14.04 LTS (trusty). If you use an newest linux version you will only have libmysqlclient20 with no default support for older versions, so you must follow this readme guide to get back libmysqlclient18 https://github.com/Sphereserver/Source
