Weird death errors
When I killed myself, or when anybody dies, I get these two errors messages.

Code:
23:10:ERROR:7:Setup_CreateDialog acct='Player' already online!
23:10:WARNING:7:Unknown game packet (0x26) received.

And the game packet is never the same one. In-game after the death packet goes through, on the bottom left sometimes it will say "Already online!"

Also, upon dying, alot of the time my game will freeze, although I can still see the world saving, I still cannot move or do anything. Only restarting fixes the problem.

Last problem, when dying and ressing, the death season sticks and doesnt revert back to what it was before, so all the trees are dead and what not. Any idea why this could be happening?

Thank you

what sphere build and client version are you using?

PacketDeathAnimation feature is enabled on sphere.ini?

RE: Weird death errors
this problem seems to be an common bug of 56c where it doesn't detect the client version correctly, making it send wrong packets to wrong clients. Unfortunately there's no way to fix it on 56c because 56c is not accepting updates anymore (all updates now goes to 56d)

maybe this problem is already fixed on sphere 56d, so try update to 56d nightlies. And even if you update and the problem still occur, we will be able to fix it since 56d is the current build in development. It's easy to update from 56c to 56d, you just need to update the .exe file + sphere.ini, sphere_defs.scp, sphere_msgs.scp, sphere_newb.scp)

RE: Weird death errors
So those are the only files I need to replace? I kinda just updated from a very old version to 56c and had to spend a pretty good amount of time fixing everything, don't want to go through that again Tongue

RE: Weird death errors
yes if you're already using 56c with everything properly set, you just need to update these 4 files
