Paperdoll Skin
now, with the new feature that you didn´t unequip your clothes, weapon and so on when you change your body and want to have new paperdoll skin like an orc and give him the body of the c_orc.
the problem is that you have to put the new skin on a layer.
mostly it is the layer of the cap because it´s the layer which lay behind all other layers.
the negativ effect there is that you can´t wear a cap now so my question is if anybody got another solution for this one?
yes I can use an client which will give me 1000000 new layers Smile
but I didn´t know any client which is bugfree and usable.
my question we have layer 30. there you can put so much items as you like...
is this not possible to code it in the source of sphere that every layer can hold items as much as you want?

By the way....how can I (or can i anyways?) direct a specific paperdoll to a player. as for example, giving a human man another paperdoll (the one from the gargoyle f.e).
or aswell maybe directing a female paperdoll to a male character.the question would be interesting for me since i plan to make custom paperdoll images for custom races.

Several options for you Kyrbis. You can provide a gump.mul file to every player playing a specific race (this can be problematic). Another option is to override the player gump with a custom one.

in the first case, if me "half orc" see myself i would see an half orc, but if an elf, look at me, he will see an elf....


in the second case, dunno how to do it...

Yes, I know. The first case sucks but is one of few options he has.
Second case will take some time and effort Smile. I have seen people make custom pdoll dialogs. It is rather interesting.

Today I tried to make an own paperdoll via script because I had a good idea.
It worked fine but not for everything.
The right gumps will be displayed with the right items the player wear in my own created dialog paperdoll.
With the softcoded paperdoll I can put my own skin at first under all the gump stuff the player wear. That means I can "create" my own layer.
That´s really fine but I had some other problems, like I can drag und drop the gumps from my paperdoll. I had to click on them to unequip them, I can´t use and open the option, skill buttons because there are no sendpacket command for this.
Maybe someone is interested for this script and want to make a teamwork script Smile
