Threaded Mode | Linear Mode

Not used these before and seems I am being retarded with it.
Looking for a better explanation on how to use these than is given in the revisions or than I can find examples of.

I understand these and can use them fine.

Code:

list.<src.account.name>_message.add <args>  

list.<src.account.name>_message.clear

I do not understand how to make these work and could REALLY use some user friendly examples.

list.<src.account.name>_message.index.remove 

list.<src.account.name>_message.index.insert 

list.<src.account.name>_message.findelem  // wtf?

Insert I didn't used, but from the explanation, it should re-write list element number [index] or doing something like this.
