Connection issue :(
I'm getting this message when trying to log onto a server whose status is showing that the shard is up and running (although I can't tell if any other players besides the shard owners are able to log in - still no player base):

"The client could not attach to the game server. It must have been taken down, please wait a few minutes and try again."

I log in with my user and pass that I have had no problems with before, select the shard, then right before the char selection screen it thinks/freezes for a bit then the error above pops up.

I'm trying to figure out if this is on my end or the server's. I know it's pretty vague, so let me know if there are any more details I can provide. I thought this would be the next best place to come since I cannot get in contact with the shard owner.

Thanks!

RE: Connection issue :(
well, this is prolly in the wrong place

and more info would be required'

what client version are u using?
what server version are u using?
is the server on a PC behind a router?
what IP do u have set in ur ini file?
are the 'shard owners' connecting from the same network or outside of it?
if u are using a client below 7.0.20 have you put your WAN IP (not to be confused with ur LAN IP) in the login.cfg?

RE: Connection issue :(
Are you connecting to a server you are running or something that you play on that someone else runs?

If it's the latter which shard is it, what's the IP?

RE: Connection issue :(
It's the UnForgotten Realm that I play on/someone else runs:
http://forum.spherecommunity.net/Thread-...tten+realm

LoginServer=24.242.7.17,2593 (past login)
LoginServer=tufr.no-ip.org,2593 (current)

what client version are u using? 5.0.8.3
what server version are u using? not sure what they are using
is the server on a PC behind a router? unsure
what IP do u have set in ur ini file? I'm not familiar with this file :/
are the 'shard owners' connecting from the same network or outside of it? My guess is the same network
if u are using a client below 7.0.20 have you put your WAN IP (not to be confused with ur LAN IP) in the login.cfg? no/not familiar

RE: Connection issue :(
Looks to me like the server may be down. I am trying to connect with a newer client, though get the same message.
I also note that the website is down.

RE: Connection issue :(
KyleH112 said the server is up so...
I guess you need to talk to him to see where the problem is.

RE: Connection issue :(
Ya, they've been having weather-related internet issues recently, but I think that has past and they've switched to something more reliable. The website was the only thing that didn't completely transfer so they've been working on that and I have been able to play once or twice while that has been down. It's been very hit or miss with being able to connect, but way more miss this past week. I guess I'll keep trying. I just thought I'd check to see if that error was something that jumped out at anyone and if it was an easy fix. Thank you all very much for taking a look! Very much appreciated...
