i think you should try it. if its crashes again you can also try to use sphere with x86 windows inside vm.

Keep the 64bit OS... install a 32 bit windows virtualmachine using virtualbox or vmware or whatever.

Just some info, these show up in my 'messages' log - it doesnt always log the segfaults here, but does log some..
