New Map Muls Vs Old
Hey all, I'm getting back into map making and have a question I hope is easy. I found my older maps that I worked with on client 7.0.15 (around there) and I wanted to incorporate them into the newest UO patch. I used UOFiddler to break up the UOP files into muls. I noticed there is now a map3.mul and a map3x.mul file.. The older maps before the UOP conversation just consisted of map3.mul and the static3.mul file. What are the X.muls all about? Anyone shed some light on that for me? If I can use them and need new programs to remake my old maps, any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

I think that the "x" stands for eXtended (like the extended map0x introdouced with Mondain Legacy), so if that's true probably they have increased the Malas map size

so if thats the case, what tool would show me the new dimensions of the maps? would i just rewrite map3.mul and leave the map3x.mul alone and then combine them both into uop again?

Try to rename map3x.mul to map3.mul then check with UoFiddler if you can open it, if it can open it that means the size is the same i think.
